Foreign Stars Unlikely to Play Full PSL 6 Season


The participation of several foreign players for the entirety of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6 is uncertain due to scheduling conflicts…..



PSL season 6 is scheduled to begin on 20 February and the final of the tournament will be played on 22 March. Almost all the international teams will be engaged in international series during the tournament.

Australia will tour New Zealand for a five-match T20I series, while England is scheduled to tour India for a five-match Test series and five-match T20I series during the PSL. The ODI series will start after the conclusion of PSL. New Zealand will host Bangladesh after the conclusion of their series against Australia.

South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka are also scheduled to play international cricket during the time frame.
According to sources, most of the foreign platinum category players will not be available for the full season. PSL 6 draft is set to be held on 10 January, and the franchises will pick players according to their availability.

There are still top quality players that will be available for the whole tournament. The likes of Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Rashid Khan, Colin Ingram, Chris Gayle, Mohammad Nabi, Carlos Brathwaite are either not part of their respective international teams or do not have international duties during the PSL.
