Yesterday, Levi’s has announced that it is working to introduce new smart jackets that will be accessorized with Jacquard by Google tech. The stuff of the Levi’s Smart Jackets will be denim, that will connect you to the wearer’s smartphone.
The size of the Jacquard by Google tag is about a stick of gum that tucks into the sleeve of the jacket. With the help of Bluetooth, it connects you with your device wirelessly. You will be able to see the time, weather, traffic conditions, and your calendar with the help of My Day feature. In case you left your phone behind, the ‘Always Together’ feature will let you know. Moreover, you will also be able to take a picture with the help of visual and haptic countdown features of Camera.

You will be able to control music, calls, messages, navigations and ride-hailing apps in the wrist, as you have to tap only the jacket cuff.
Paul Dillinger, Levi’s vice president of global product innovation said:
“Two years after we first launched Jacquard, the technology has become smaller and more discrete, more affordable and more useful, in a release. “But the premise and purpose remain the same: You can keep your phone in your pocket and your eyes on the world around you, staying connected without being distracted.”
The jacket will be available for both men and women. In the beginning, it will be rolling out to the selective Levi’s stores in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US.
