Love beyond borders: American girl reaches Pakistan, marries Lahori boy

LAHORE – Mohsin, a 23-year-old Pakistani boy, and 19-year-old Maria Angela, an American citizen, have tied the knot in Lahore after online friendship turned into love.

They met on Facebook and became friends. The Lahore-based boy proposed to Maria, who later accepted it. The American National, in the love of Mohsin, reached Pakistan.

The wedding took place in a hotel here the other day. The relatives of the boy attended the ceremony to extend best wishes to the couple for their future life.

Maria wanted to get settled in the US with him.

Last week, an American lady named Helena had arrived in Pakistan to tie the knot with her love of life, a youngster hailing from Sialkot named Kashif.

The US lady had met 21 years younger boy at social media website and their bond got so strong that they both decided to tie the knot with him.
In an exclusive interview with Daily Pakistan just before their Nikkah in Kashif’s native town of Raipur, the couple shared their love story that started on Instagram some 10 months ago.

“I am just so happy that I have no words,” said Helena, who has just embraced Islam after listening to Dr Zakir Naik’s lectures.
Kashif, a shy B.Com student, said he is teaching Maria how to pray.

The couple, who were flanked by the groom’ friends, plan to stay in the country for some time.

When asked how many children she would like to have with Kashif, the veterinary doctor replied, “It’s up to God.”
