Samsung’s latest gaming monitor, the Dragon Knight G5, has just been launched in China with all the specifications to support high-end gaming such as 2K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and more.
The Dragon Knight G5 has a 27-inch curved VA screen with a curvature of 1000R. It is a WQHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution (2k), 144Hz refresh rate, and a snappy 1ms response time. It has support for HDR10 and AMD FreeSync Premium as well. Samsung has also included a gaming-oriented UI to improve the user experience.
The display can reach a static contrast ratio of 2500:1 and it also comes with certified low blue light eye protection, which should prove useful for gaming in the dark.
Design-wise, the monitor has tiny bezels on three sides, but a thicker one at the bottom. The monitor stand has height and angle adjustability to support plenty of different viewing angles. In terms of ports, there is a display port, an HDMI port, a headphone jack, and a USB port among others.
The Samsung Dragon Knight G5 will go for sale in China on August 31 for $319 only. A global release will likely follow in the coming weeks.
